Name: Zehntner, Leo
Date of birth: 1864-12-19
Place of birth: in Reigoldwil, Bâle-Champagne
Place of death: 1961
Gender: male
Specialisms: Blattoptera
Akronyms: S.Z.
Collection: He left material in many places, certainly MHNG has plenty of specimens from Java with his labels. As well as the non-insect works mentioned by Hauser, Zehntner was second author of Saussures treatment of Cockroaches for Biologia Centrali-Americana, and that is perhaps the explaination of the "S.Z." acronym.
